That ambulance was running Tri-Y headers! They meant to get there in a hurry!

8) I`ve got to say! when I saw them tri y`s hanging off a Clevo, I thought I`ve got to have that!, can`t wait to find out what`s inside!. The dizzy isn`t stock neither, may have to change sump to front pick-up, but a test hang of the motor in it`s new home will tell !, did I say that I`m excited about this motor!

ras, if you don`t say anything!, I`ll stay quite about you last May!

Did you note the dual alternators, some serious electric`s going on in there!

Do you think the aircon compressor would be serviceable or should I junk it?

Yesterday I bit the bullet and started welding in the Falcon K member, I`ve welded all the easy to get to area`s and will do the rest when I send the chassis to the sand blaster`s

I`ll have to try and remember what I had for breakfast!, cause I also put two front coaster wheels on my MiG trolley and some brackets to hold the bottle in place! been meaning to do that for 12 years!

Garbz, they came in a kit!, with very basic instructions and some Emailed pic`s. He said he would rather people ring him for guidance, rather than miss read instructions!

Alan, Quite a different set up than we see here in the states. Looks like a nice way to go, And good work too.
Might I suggest drilling a hole in the top of each coil-over mount. Weld some nuts to the underside so that you can make a Monte-Carlo style brace to install after all is done. That would really tie that front together.

OK!, here are some pic`s of the motor sitting/hanging in there!

[img][/img]

you can see by this next shot, how tight things are with steering on R/H side!
[img][/img]
[img][/img]

I`m sure now I`m going to have to go with a front sump pan!
[img][/img]

the oil filter is no problem or the pump

[img][/img]

to get a better idea of the final position I`ll have to bolt the tranny on and put it back in, now to the sad part!, while I was taking the motor back to the other garage, snif snif it rolled off the pallet trolley and ended up side down!, I managed to roll it up right, but damaged a rocker cover, bent a bracket and totaled the dizzy cover and rotor-button  , no pic`s of that! but I do have cramps in one leg from kicking myself up the bum for being so stupid!

Tim, It would have to go over the top of the motor, wouldn't it?, I suppose, I could make up a bracket to bolt to the top shock mounts, kind of saddle over the top!

Dave, it looks like I win!, mine already roll`s

Over the last 2 Saturdays I`ve bolted up the motor and tranny, and put them back in and after some hours of UP , DOWN, UP, DOWN, BACK , FOWARD, LEFT , RIGHT! I managed to find the sweet spot for the motor ( I hope! ), little edit here!, I changed to a front sump as well!
[img][/img]

I fabbed up some engine mounts and tacked them in, and I`ll finish welding them and do some trimming to make them look better when the engine comes out again!. the sway bars lined up real nice too,

[img][/img]

The trans cross member stayed in the same position, only needing 2 holes to be drilled!

[img][/img]

After moving all the built up rubble from under the truck, I put her down on her new front feet for the first time,

I must say that after seeing the truck at the working level for so long you tend to get used to it that high, so when I was lowering it, I thought to myself , self how low is this thing going to be

[img][/img]

with the rear end still on original wheels, she sure has a mean rake!

[img][/img]

the bottom front edge of the cowl is 950 mm off the ground about 3 feet, so now for the rear end!, I think I`ll go the flip the front spring perch and extend the hangers, should get 4 in, what do you reckon?[/img]
