I must say Tim, your picture I can at least associate with, looks so awkward the way the Auzzie was taking it. Keep up the good work Alan.

starting to think about taking the cab off!, and sitting in the drivers seat( as we all do 8), don't lie!! ), I was thinking what can go and what needs to stay and I started to count the extraneous holes in the dash, how many do you reckon there are?, count the match heads!, oh and add one for the radio

Alan,
I filled all the holes in my dash that will be seen. It was a lot of work but worth it.

I also made some new defroster ducts for mine as they crumbled when I took them out.

Keep up the good work.

Looking good Kevin, you certainly put some time into that dash, and it has paid off!, you noticed the defrost jam tin things?, what a joke they are!, yours are well made, what did you make them out of, other than Aluminium, they look like a kamlock fitting!. one more quiz, what are the seats out of?

Alan,
I made the defrost ducts out of a round piece of aluminum. I bored them on the mill and then turned them down on the lathe. I put the lip on the bottom so that I can put a clamp or zip ties around the hose to keep it from slipping off. $20 worth of aluminum and about 6 hours of not knowing what I ws doing to get them done.
The seats came out of an 01 F-150 4 door. I am going to cut down the headrests about 3-4". I think they take up to much room in the back window(kind of redneckish  ) I will make the decision where to cut them when I get the upholstery off.

Kevin,
the seats look great!, not many 2000 and on F150`s out here, I had a slick seat recovered but it is still a 1966 seat!, and Beryl is going to be a daily driver with most days 1hr each way!, I have 02 Cherokee seats in Lenore and have the same problem with the head rests taking up leg room, your column and wheel look sweet as well, are they after market?

Good grief Alan, I can't imagine what the PO had going on there. It looks like a cribbage tournament is being played on your dash

Kevin, there would likely be a market here for more of those defrost vents if you wanted to make them - just a thought.

Dave, the panel beater has a brass mig that uses lower heat, we`ll probably use that!, or I could hook the air-con up to them and use them for air vents!
