I thought that I had went overboard on mine when I did the frame. Now I see that I could have done more.
Your project is looking great. Keep the pics coming.

Lol once I cut off one set of rivots I decided to just do them all. It was a LOT of work but I think it will be worth it in the end. Im just glad that part is over with.

I agree. If it even looks like rain I don't intend on taking mine out of the garage. At least I live in Phoenix so I don't have to worry about rain very often so I can probably drive it over 300 days a year.

Thanks alot for the compliments. I hate rust so hopefully with all the extra steps im taking I can insure it never will, atleast not as bad anyways. Plan on having this truck a long time and it wont be driven in the snow so that should help out alot here in the midwest.

Well I finally got the small frame parts painted silver. They turned out great and I couldnt be happier with it. Primed with 2 coats of epoxy then painted with 2 coats of SS Urethane. Very nice finish and feels great to do it all myself. I still have to have my kingpins pressed out and get my 9 inch cleaned up and then I can prime and paint the rear end and I-Beam setup as well. Here are the pics.

Looks good. Are you going to bolt the frame back together or install new rivets?

I will be bolting everything back together with stainless and selflocking nuts. Kind of pricey but I will never have to do it again and if I need to change something out I can simply unbolt it. No more hassle for later down the road.

My Eaton Detriot Truetrac arrived in the mail today. Should be dropping it off at the speed shop within the next week to have the gears installed, etc. Only thing left for the rear end will be new drums, axle bearings, and rebuild the brakes.
