Got the dash cluster taken apart and ready to take out the dash wiring harness. I dont think I will be keeping any of the wiring anywhere in the truck. Gonna have custom gauges so not much need for any of it.
Got the inner fenders taken off. Not too much left on the front. Thats all for now. I got the disk brake setup home so ill have pics of that sometime soon. Im supposed to get my bed sometime this week so ill have pics of that too.
Got my bed back home today. He threw a coat of epoxy on it so it shouldnt rust until I get ready to do body work. Turned out really good. No rust holes except for the front bed panel but no rust in the bed floor itself.
Look can sort of tell from this pic that towards the back of the bed the floor has a large dent so hopefully I can figure out a way to pound it back to a somewhat level bed floor.
Pretty much got the tailgate completly stripped. In pretty good shape overall. I would like to get a smooth tailgate but im not sure where to find one. Any advice on where to find one?
The center smoother curved section from a Slick bedside is a near perfect fit. Cut it from the rear forward, you'll have to finish the lower roll out a couple feet forward of the wheel arch though. Just remember to measure 3 times & cut once.

I got my panel to smooth the tailgate from Mar-K. I haven't put it on yet but it looks like a nice piece. They also have the handle relocate kits for the inside. I don't think that they were real outragous price.

Thanks for all the advice on the tailgate. If I could I wouldnt mind just buying a brand new smooth tailgate because the one I got right now is rusting from the inside out. I guess if I welded a new smooth outside on I can cut off the outer skin and take of the rust from the inside but it might be cheaper to buy a new tailgate. Do any of you know a site where I can buy one? Thaanks for all the tips so far.
Made alot of progress since my last post. I got the cab, bed, front suspension, and rear end off the frame. I also sandblasted the rear end and cleaned up the frame a little bit. Still got alot of work ahead but the nice weather helps out alot. Here's some pics.
