Your truck is looking awesome. You should be proud of it when it is done. I am not to far behind you with mine being at the painters shop right now. keep up the good work.

No matter how hard I try to get SOMETHING done on
mine, something else ALWAYS gets in the way.
Dang...
Are you going to lower it?
We lowered the back 6" and the front 2" I want to get new wheels on the truck and see what it looks like before I drop it much more. I am afraid to get it too low as I will still use it to haul stuff. Also I plan to do the front end swap for 2009 winter project so we may do something then. Just have to see after I drive it this summer.

are you gonna try to go with the Mustang II front end?
I've heard of everything from a Mustang II, to an Aerostar front end.
So, I would say that your best bet would be to look around on the forums and possibly other sites and see what might work best for you.
Lot's of options out there, the main factor is time, and of course, money.
Good luck whatever you do, and, whatever you do, post it for us to check out.
I'm ALWAYS game for some good instruction!

Check out the Dakota-based setup by Industrial Chassis of Phoenix. The owner is/was? a member here. Search the posts for more info. Quite a few folks have installed it. You can buy the cross member ($600-700 range I believe) and then buy the other parts locally or buy the whole setup from them ($2500-2700 range I believe).

Ok, I still want to get some new wheels and tint the windows but it has been nice and I want to drive her so this is my new summer ride!
I have noticed that the engine misses a little when at highway speeds. I have changed the plugs, wires, cap, rotor, points condenser and set the timing. but still there, also she can be a little hard to start. Any ideas as to what I may need to check?
