Been thinking about a New Forum

Post by Kid »

Been thinking about a new forum that is for before and after pics. maybe post a couple of pics when a project was started and a couple of it fiished ( well as it is now ). Not post any other pics as we have the project and build forum just to let others know what your project was like when it was brought home. I thought maybe it might help inspire people to not pass up a truck just because it looks bad. What do you guys think.................Kid

That would be the short version of the build section.

how about a section just devoted to pictures. i know there is a photo gallery, but this might be a little easier to navigate and get more folks viewing the pics.

Darrell, the idea is fine BUT------I think it has to be monitored/censored. You started the hints forum to post hints but has been used to ask questions.
You started the builds forum to post builds but has been used for many other things.
Get what I'm saying?
We need to put our posts where they belong.
I think a "Welcome" Forum would be cool................ya know for the new guys to introduce themselves.
Personally I don't like the way the album works--but not sure how to improve it.

Inflation has caused me to put in my 14 cents worth, Tim
INEPTOCRACY: (in-ep'-toc-ra-cy) : a system of government where the least capable to lead are elected by the least capable of producing, and where the members of society least likely to sustain themselves or succeed are rewarded with goods and services paid for by the confiscated wealth of a diminishing number of producers.

Why not just a "sticky" thread at the top of the Builds forum?

We recently had a thread on the Bronco site where everybody posted what the Bronco looked like when they bought it and how it looks now.

I don't see the need myself. I'd much rather see the stuff posted or moved to the proper section. Must be the neatness freak in me.

Maybe some more moderators to share the load?

if the limit was 2 pics, 1 before and 1 after it would be ok.
i do agree with what Tim said though. inflation and all.

as for the album, photobucket is so easy i have been using it for all my pics.

Effie, good idea with the sticky.

I'm with Tim with the posts where they belong.. Maybe just change up the message under the forum titles a bit.

Truck Talk
The place to talk Slicks. All we ask is that discussion has something to do with slicks...

Off Subject
A place for discussion of off topic subjects. Pretty much anything goes - just keep it civil, please!

or maybe something like :dontknow:

Truck Talk
The place to talk Slicks. Discuss repairs, small projects and ask questions. All we ask is that discussion has something to do with slicks...

General Discussion and Introductions
A place for off topic subjects and introdutions. Pretty much anything goes - just keep it civil, please! If your new stop by and say Hello and let us know where your from..

I'm sure both could be worded better than I did but you get the idea. LOL

I have also noticed a few posts have been moved, I think that is a good thing. Maybe when a Truck Talk post provides great info it could be thrown over in hint & tricks..
