Two weeks ago the interior looked like this:
Now it looks like this:
Used Valspar "Bright Red" satin spray paint. Came out a little pinkish red though. Oh well.
Headliner was wrapped in burlap. Seat and mat were cleaned up and put back in. Used Peel & Seal for insulation on floor and roof.
Knob inserts are suspender buttons:
Waiting on some aftermarket gauges to finish up the instrument cluster so it can be put back in along with a few other knobs, glovebox, etc.

Beautiful workmanship Terry. The really good thing is, we get to see it live and in color here in Houston. Can't wait for grub with the club and you come rolling in with that bad boy.
I'm not arguing with you. I'm just explaining why I'm right.
Pardon me. Does your deaug bite?

I'm kinda at a standstill with this one for about 6wks. Getting my trade ready for our other slick to come. I will do a build thread when I get hot and heavy again. It's supposed to go to the trimmer shop late feb.
Thanks

Did you save the side chrome? If so, would you be interested in selling (or donating ) it?
Re: Before and after - pics of your truck's new look
My plan is to leave most of my 66 alone since the original paint is in great shape, however, the tailgate and rear bumper needed some assistance in order to match the overall shape of the rest of the truck.
So...I removed the nasty rear dealer-installed bumper, installed a painted contour bumper and added some red color back to the F.O.R.D letters. (I'm not a fan of fake patina, but I really felt like this truck needed the contrast of the red letters on the tailgate, so I made a small exception).
Here's the before and after.

Re: Before and after - pics of your truck's new look
My 1963 Mercury M100. First project like this outside of tinkering with a dirt bike. I am conflicted about how I did. Wish I would have done a more thorough job but at the same time I really just wanted a work truck. I think I will now do another 63' & put another 64' box on it & do the whole thing a lot better. It has a 223ci & a L/D 3 speed with 4.11 rear end ratio which I want to swap out for a 3.25.
Fordward.
