Old tornado pics..

Post by jwh f-100 »

My mother dug out some old pics she had of a tornado that went through near us.. It is one of two that hit near us, this is the second one. The first hit four years earlier on the exact day... Thought i'd share as a couple of them are cool pics with the fog (the first two).. Click on the pic.

This is me and a buddy cheching out the damages...

My father was logging there, well up to that point.. The twisted up timber is an easy "widowmaker"

Just a few more..

Jason, that must have been a scary time!, after Slickstock, Lyn and I went on a cross country trip and we came across a place we thought looked a bit odd,and we couldn't quite work out what was strange about the fairly ran down town!, it was Greensberg KS!!!!!!!! Holy crap! and that happened 15 months earlier, I`m sticking here we`ve only got deadly animals, how the hell do you live through that?
Honey, If I say I`ll fix something I will, there`s no need to remind me every 6 months!!

It was definatly something new for this area even the oldtimers never saw one around here. After the first one I helped out a freind that lost his barn. He had quite a scare. They let the cattle out of the barn, ran to the house, and as they were going down into the cellar the house windows were blowing in..

Well comon up. LOL The skidder needs the shift linkages adjusted, dad and his guys are installing a winch on the 350 dozer, and replacing all the blade pins/bushings. Wish I was there doing that stuff rather than here but ya'll know how some faimlies work together... :argue:
