Ford F-100 Ranger web page
Ford F-100 Ranger web page
I have added a new page to my web site. I have added a page for the 65 Ranger. All you Ranger experts look it over and send me any suggestions about the history of the Rangers and I will make additions or corrections. Does anyone have any production numbers on these trucks? I am trying to establish at least an educated guess as to production numbers. If you can get a good base number of about how many were made, we can base about how many of left using an attrition factor. The page is still under construction and I will be adding to it in the coming weeks. I also want to add a section with pictures of other members Rangers so get me some good pictures of your trucks and also some good interior shots for the page.

I hope I always stay crazy, because I know if I ever become sane, it will drive me crazy.

Michelle, very nice page & truck.
I was just showing an employee the picture of your interior and i ask him if he'd ever seen one like it. His response was, "yep, everyday". he went on to explain that his uncle has one. not sure which year though.
i'll try to get his info for you, if he'll share it.

as far as production numbers goes I try to use this formula, If I am selling it, there were only a few made and this is one of the last 5 known to exist, and If I am buying it then it is at least 5 million of them are still on the road to this day I have 10 at home but I will give you 1/2 of what you want for it cause I am a nice guy..........at least these are the stories I get all the time, hope it helps LOL
very nice, I bought a new ranger in early 1965, ordered it black with black buckets , both door pockets, radio, heater, 3 speed with o.d., 411:1 rear axle ordered it that way. mine came with the standard round spedometer, and I dont remember the console being an option at that time. a friend of mine liked my truck so he bought one a few mo. later it came with the delux speedo. so theres two rangers, I spotted on up near sacramento a few years back, thats three and have not seen one since and i'm allways looking. I doubt if more then 5 or 6 thousnand were built. I built my 66 that I have now into a ranger look a like, thats as close as I will ever get to a real ranger. Bill

I found some scans from some old timey 35mm photos. They are of a 65 F-100 Ranger I had back in 1989. It was a 352 automatic, with 98k miles. It even had dealer installed A/C. I ended up selling it to my brother, who put it on a 76 F-100 4x4 frame before losing it in his divorce.

The floor of the bed was perfect, and the truck was in really nice original shape other than the bedside.

Very nice site! Next time Im at my dads Ill shoot some documentation pics of my ranger, its a very original 66 longbed f250 thats been sitting for a while, has great body panels minus hood but the interior is complete but baked and looks like the windows were down for years. Has the stang seats, console and tank cover. Two tone tan original paint, had a camper on it until I picked it up, bed is 95% original paint, more than my daily driver 06 Superduty has! Driveline is gone but it was a 352 auto. Im thinking a good candidate for a 70's f100 frame swap in the future. Not bad for a freebie!
