Deuce.
I hate you're not doing a Slick, but that is a nice old car. Great workmanship.

Deuce, nice job on the '46!!! The PO did some scary stuff to that chassis but looks like you're redeeming it quite well. I'm building a 37 Ford tudor humpback sedan w/302, T5, 9" rear. Glad to see you're putting a Ford in a Ford!

I sent you a PM with my # if you wanna talk about your old slick sometime.

Yeah that motor I pulled out was a '68 302, with a complete Mustang drivetrain, (tran/rear end) what's amazing it the last registration on the car and the plate in it when I bought it were from '74. someone hotrodded it then with only a few year old musclecar drive line. Must have been cool in the day.

I've rebuilt the '68 long block (It had the High comp. "F" ? heads on it.)
It's got a verry mild Cam, and I'm gonna be running an '89 MAF EFI set up, with the '89 AOD. It is a sedan after all, not about to be a race car. I just want it to be a cruiser we can take anywhere anytime.
(I'm even thinking about building a teardrop to pull with it (and maybe using a lot of the parts car to build it from, so it will match... but that's a long way off.))

Thanks for the compliments.
I'll keep the thread going as I keep progressing.

The 302 in my 37 is a '69 block. My dad & I first built the car when I was in college many years ago. Ran the 302 bone stock with a 2V carb/C4 automatic for years. I started a complete rebuild on the car 2 years ago. Had the engine rebuilt bored .030 over, forged pistons, custom cam, GT40P heads. The cam designer recommended using a Weiand Xcellerator intake/Holley 4150 carb on it. I'll be curious to hear how your EFI conversion works out. I may have to try that on mine because I'm sure the gas mileage with the double-pumper carb will suck!
I haven't started mine yet cause the rest of the car is still in pieces. While I had it apart I went ahead and put in new floorboards, new firewall, did some inner wheel well work on the rear so the tires would rub. Still tons to do on it but I love it!
