Can anybody tell me what color silver the gravel shield on a Custom Cab 66 should be?

Either argent or body color is correct.
From the original paint trucks I have seen it doesn't seem to make a difference whether it's a CC or not. Some gravel shields are argent - some are body color.
Could be an assembly plant or even day of the week thing.
Maybe the painter was just too hungover to clean the paint gun. No rhyme or reason to it I have ever seen.

Gritsngumbo and Bill W are correct. 64 thru 66 F 100-F250 2WD Custom Cabs had argent silver gravel shields from the factory, while 61 thru 63 Custom Cabs ( as well as 61 thru 66 standard cab pickups ) had body colored gravel shields from the factory. Trucks that don't follow these rules are repainted.
