Installing new fuel pump, any advice?

Hi Guys,

I'm going to be installing a new fuel bump on my 62 with a 223. The current one has the very cool glass bowl, but it's leaking.

Any advice or tips before I install the new one?

Should be pretty straight forward.

Not sure what you replaced it with but if it comes apart, rebuild the cool glass one with the new ones' parts.
I am not sure if there is a tip and tricks post on it, I am sure somebody here has done it. I remember doing this back during my college broke days......yes they had internal combustion back then.....no I am not kidding..... my first unibody was only 12 years old.....geeeesh

The glass bowl pumps are available, but hard to find. I'm thinking that Rock Auto has them. I was in a hurry and replaced my glass bowl pump with a non-glass since NAPA had one in stock.

Thanks, guys. I didn't forsee anything funny in the process but just wanted to double check. I picked one up from O'Reillys. Once it gets a little cooler here in Nashville I'll change it.
