I'm back!
I'm back!
Hey everybody been a while since I have been on here. Been working on other car projects (Still Fords of course!) and having a computer issue. I am working on my 66 longbed again and will try to be on here a bit more. And of course Pate is coming up!
Re: I'm back!

Welcome back Brien, wondered why you haven't been posting. Didn't realize you were having computer problems. Almost have the "new" shop demo finished and cleared out. A little electrical to do and then ready to move from Slick Shop in West Monroe.

Yea wish I had a gas sipper that got thirty MPG so I could come by more often LOL. Have you been to the Monroe U-Pull-It lately? They have a 65 F350 that came in about two months ago. Been having computer problems, doesn't want to get on some internet sites for some reason, Slick 60's was one of them. Computer is about 6 years old and time for a new one but got other bills to pay first, as long as it works OK for what I need I will live with it.Gritsngumbo wrote:Welcome back Brien, wondered why you haven't been posting. Re: I'm back!
No I haven't, for two reasons, lack of funds and lack of time. This new place is keeping me hopping. Making some progress though. I'll make it a point to go by and look, just for grins.bluebolt wrote:Have you been to the Monroe U-Pull-It lately? They have a 65 F350 that came in about two months ago.

Re: I'm back!
Gerald, if you would, and don't need them yourself, check on the wheels (if a dually), please.
Thanks,
Paul

Re: I'm back!
Paul: Sure will. No personal need at this time. Since you have a need, I'll make it a point to go look Monday or Tuesday, maybe before it's too late.Toyz wrote:Gerald, if you would, and don't need them yourself, check on the wheels (if a dually), please.

Re: I'm back!
It's more a "want' than a need; I would like to run up on some, or a set, of tubeless 16" wheels. Don't make a special trip, but I do appreciate the effort!
Thanks,
Paul

Re: I'm back!
If you go Grits take a good look at the front fenders for me, if it has the big opening fenders in good shape I may be interested for a 4x4 project I am working on. I bought TWO more slicks from a guy, 65 Custom Cab shortbed 352 automatic and 66 longbed Custom cab parts truck that was basically a cab doors nice front grille and frame but has a good title. I have a 78 F150 4x4 shortbed frame that has a NP435 4 speed and NP205 transfer case, PS, Dana 44 front axle and 9" 3.50 traction lock rear axle. I put a 77 F100 shortbed flareside bed on it and have the 66 longbed parts truck cab on it for mockup. Eventually it will get the cab from 66 white longbed when I switch to the super nice cab I have. The white truck is in the shop trying to get the last few things done to make it a driver, brake lines, steering column rebuild and a few other things.Gritsngumbo wrote:Paul: Sure will. Re: I'm back!
Here's a pic of the 4x4 project. My present investment in this project is under $700. The extreme rake is because it has 35" tall tires in back and 28's in front AND the front springs are temporary Mustang rear springs since the stockers went to my Bronco buddy and I am putting in some 2" lift ones.
