No Keyed Entry on Driver's Side Door
I've always wondered about that, anyone know what Ford's reasoning behind this was?

Do a search for drivers door lock, here's one topic- there was something else noted about having to exit vehicle on pass side as to not be exiting in traffic

Re: No Keyed Entry on Driver's Side Door
Back then it was against the law to get in the drivers side, and if you notice how cars where parked in the 40's to the 60's not parrelled all straight in unless you ordered a custom cab then got dual door locks

Re: No Keyed Entry on Driver's Side Door
Most older cars and trucks only had the passenger side key entry. I think it was just cheaper, never heard of a law against getting in on the driver's side. Not real smart on a busy street, though.
