Manual Transmission Fluid

Hello All, I have a 1965, F100, 352 V8, 4 Speed on the floor with the granny gear, 2 Wheel Drive. I am looking to change the manual trans oil. The trans is possibly a T98. So far, I have come-up with either Engine Oil SAE 50 (from the shop manual) or 80W 90 API-GL5 rated fluid, which I already used in the rear. Any suggestions? And any suggestions on pushing the 6 1/2 pints of oil back up in there? Also, is there a risk in changing the oil? My PU runs pretty well now an is all original and don't want to cause an issue.

if its a T98 unscrew the top, remove the shifter making sure not to drop the detent pin into the tranny and pour from the top

I have one of these... Makes filling transmissions
Transfer cases , front & rear ends really easy....
But I have a lot of farm equipment too
Kinda pricey if you don't have a lot of use for it
But very handy if you do
