Highboy owners.

Hello All,
I’ve bought a 76 highboy. The installed headers are junk. My neighbor has a stack of FE exhaust manifolds.

Can anyone tell me if the stock FE manifolds on a highboy had the exhaust from the drivers side exiting in the rear or in the middle of the manifold? I’m not currently with the truck but I suspect with the standard transmission linkage, the exhaust exits in the middle of the manifold.

I think the center exit manifold is a 391 FT item,my 352 exits the rear.....the 391's can be made to work on an FE....perhaps someone else knows how and can elaborate on this for you

391s will bolt on but don't clear the steering box so I been told
