We cannot see your tank from here:)

But, if you do some recon on the cost of a repop, plus shipping, and compare it to the cost to have a Rad Shop hot tank your tank & then apply an internal sealer, the answer should be a lot clearer.
BUT, I expect in order to get a valid price from the Rad Shop, you may have to take in by for them to have a look at it.....

Depends on condition

Ive just dropped a dog chain & hot soapy water in them
And rocked them back & forth
Over & over & over
Till the chain has knocked as much loose as possible
Flushed out , and put back to use

No issues so far :rocker:

The trucks I have "brought back to life"
Usally have been sitting ....
The F350 had sat for 16 years dead....
That's way worse than a truck that keeps getting fresh
Gas put in & used up ocassionaly ...

Usally RUST ! :cussing:

I bought an LMC tank several years ago. After a couple of years I dropped in a 390 and found it had fuel restriction at the tank side flare. The tank also has notches where it should have a lip to sit in the cab bolt brackets.

You're lucky then. My LMC tank came in a very poorly packed box and was dented up and had bent corners. I would however recommend getting a new tank from a different company over trying to clean and line the old one if it's not shiny and clean inside. A little surface rust on the inside could probably be used without any trouble but if there's any chunks coming off, brand new would be the way to go to.

I would rather have a 50 year old tank made of US steel than a repop.
If it cain't be fixed with a sledge hammer it must be an electrical problem!

we always sold GOOD Used ones since most of our trucks come out of the desert and the gas has been long gone, and sometimes we have to wash the dust out ,only,, I have not sold one of those Tawian gas tanks in 10 years,, most likely only one place over there making them so will be same problems no matter who the vendor is

:( only 12 years on the road , when it was put to pasture ....

Did it set dry ? ... if so ... might be fine
But if it had fuel in it .. it's probably shot

I bought a truck that had sat 25 years with fuel in it...
It was Still half full of liquid nasty
You could push a screwdriver thru the bottom like tinfoil

Have you got a good bright flashlight & looked inside ?
You can only see a part of it... but that will tell a lot
Ive looked into some & knew it was a lost cause
Then others looked darn good & just needed a little cleaning

In that case, rinse it with fresh gas a couple times and good to go.

So I took a look in my tank, looks real good maybe some surface rust inside solid all the way around.
One thing I noticed was the fuel line in the tank almost touches the bottom, I was wondering how thick the sealant is, don't want to clog the fuel line

If it looks pretty good with just surface rust like you say, I wouldn’t seal it. Pour some evaporust in and treat it. That stuff is pretty awesome and not that expensive.
