Sheet metal work was getting a little boring so I got out some other parts and started playing with them.
I have two sets of door handles and I wanted to see if I could get a set looking better than this:

I bought some adhesion promoter so I could get the paint to stick to the chrome. I read that you’re supposed to spray gloss black under the chrome to get it to come out better, So I went to the parts store and bought some adhesion promoter and some gloss black, and I already had the chrome paint, the primer and the clear coat:

The labels all say to apply 2-3 light coats so, I applied three light coats of adhesion promoter, three light coats of primer, then three light coats of gloss black, then three light coats of chrome, and then, finally three light coats of clear coat:

So it took two hours to paint everything and over all it was about forty dollars to buy all of that paint (which I will use on other parts), and after it was all said and done, I think I like the old scratched up raggedy chrome handles better. and a side note, I don't think the coats of gloss black really mattered, and the chrome paint looked a lot shinier without the clear coat, I guess i could always color sand and buff the handles.
I was messing around with my instrument cluster the other day, I stacked them together for a photo op. I stripped the black paint off of the chrome trim plate (I got the idea from somewhen on the board here, and I don't remember who it was, but thanks to the person who came up with this)and I painted the pointer gauge needles orange.
