Great thread and build! You've done alot of things I want to do to mine. So you've helped motivate me :)

Well we almost got all of the stuff from the shop moved. Worked on the truck some last week before I went to the Shades of the Past car show. Front air ride is installed, just need to plumb it up. Rear "C" notches and upper bag brackets are tacked in. Need to weld up and plate the "C" notches. Still waiting on the Accuair valve and hoses to come in. Hopefully they will be here tomorrow. A special thanks to Mr. Pope for being patient with all of my questions about air ride. Here are some picture updates.

Been a while since I got over to the shop but finished welding up the "C" notches on the rear today. Hopefully I'll get some primer and paint on them before the end of next week. I'll try to get some pics to update.

"C" notches are complete with filler around the seams to blend them into the frame. Also added some boxing to the frame. Was all set to paint but then I thought about those little things called shocks so I figured I'd be better off to fit them up before I painted just in case I need to weld on the frame for the upper mounts. Hopefully I'll get them mounted this week and some color on the frame by the end of the day Saturday.

Ok, the rear is done but I'm just not happy with the way the front upper bag mount looks so it's back to the drawing board on that one. I have however gotten the rear painted and reassembled. Here are a few pics of the progress. The exhaust is sitting on the ground because I didn't like the hangers that were installed by the muffler shop. I'm going to rehang them to my liking.

The upper links are at an angle. It can't move side to side.

Worked on the front upper bag mounts today. Much happier with these mounts than the others. Still got a little work left on them and then paint but you get the idea.
Marked the upper spring cups to cut.
Image
A little work with a cut off disk and sawzaw.
Image
A little plazma cutting and bending on the new upper mounts

Installed with the bag in place.

Got a little welding left and boxing on the upper cup mount but shouldn't take too long to finish up.

Looking good Red. You got me thinking more about bagging mine. I got the BBW roof cut off for you today. Shoot me an email to arrange pickup.

Anthony, I hope to have it in Tenn next year but it probably won't be in paint. The plan is to try and finish it up over the winter months and drive/debug next year. I'll blow it back apart next fall for paint.

I really struggled with bagging it but the simple fact is that I couldn't turn the 20" tires up front with the stance that I wanted. Some of the kit prices scared me but after digging into it a little, I realized that with a little elbow grease and fabrication, it can be done for less than half the cost of the kits. Not too bad plus you can have the adjustability to get in and out of places that are difficult with lowered vehicles.

Sounds like a plan to me Red... I am in the same spot.. hope to have mine driving by the first of the year and paint next fall after working out the bugs.... great minds think alike you know... 8)

I've made a little more progress on the truck. I've gotten the floor of the bed raised 1 1/2" for clearance of the new "C" notches. I decided to go the easy route with the bed inner fender wells and purchased 2 already made. $30 vs. the 6 hrs I spent on the first 2. Good investment in my book. Repainted the frame on up front where the new upper bag mounts were installed. Hopefully I'll get is all put back together tomorrow but 2 Christmas parties are going to cramp my slick time. I'll post pics as soon as I get it back together.
