I remember .37 cents a gallon when I drove a 63 chebby with a "high torque" 230 with a 3 on the tree. Ran a lot of .37 cent gas through that thing. Of course my dad was paying for most of that cost through his business. If I remember clutches were pretty cheep then as well. I belonged to the clutch a month club until I had to start paying for them myself. Dad got smart after a while........
