Skip, the 385 mounting parts are unique to the 385 engines, three pieces on each side.
The block cup is mounted with three bolts, the lower stand is bolted to the frame with 4 bolts/nuts, with the rubber mount is crossbolted in between.
The factory perches for all other engines used '65 - '79 will not line up to the block
Carpenter sells an aftermarket setup made of 2 pieces for '65-'79 2WD trucks.
However, I think the factory rubber insulator between the 2 factory metal pieces will reduce vibration better than the aftermarket version.

I have not put together a 385 setup in an F100 since the seventies. I did a handful of them back then, and can assure you all of them regularily saw well over 80 mph :twisted:
These were well-worn poor-boy conversions that certainly would not inspire confidence by today's standards. Good shocks and sway bars make a big difference. I recently purchased a 65 longbed with this combination, and it certainly puts a smile on my face (and I have a wide range of fairly decent performance vehicles). There's lots of small tricks to making these engines respond, some even increasing fuel economy, if you can keep your foot out of it. I intend to install a good set of progressive front springs coupled with Edelbrock IAS shocks. Mine has a later rear setup, thus limiting the ability to add wider tires, which it definitely needs. A set of "ol skool steelies" with a heavy offset will solve that problem and keep the original appearance.

Mine rides like a cadillac! I do agree that the wind pushes back. 60-65 mph rides just fine. At 70+ it gets a little touchy. I do have disc's on the front and everything else is stock.
