picked up my 3 speed OD tranny during the week. ive been soaking it in degreaser and letting it bake in the 110*+ arizona sun for a few days. scrapping at it here and there. it should be ready for paint and a test fit this weekend. i got the wrong bell housing when i picked up the whole package. so ill have to go by the guys house to swap out the bell housings. this set up should be nice when cruising in the truck for a long distance. the tranny is a 1963 borg warner T89 unit.

from under the drivers feet up towards the master cylinder
the new duel master with new lines
front left brake hose and brake line
front right brake hose. no line yet
you can almost see the new wilwood proportioning valve
the new stainless clips for the brake lines and the fuel lines. brake lines running towards the rear.
rear brake line about to connect to the brass tee on the rear end
from the duel master and heading down to the wilwood proportioning valve
connecting two lines
running towards the rear along the frame
the new wilwood proportioning valve
up to the master cylinder
before anyone comments about the fancy new wilwood parts or that i have a proportioning valve. stop right there. i know its fancy and i know this is a traditional build. but im also smart and build safe rides. my girlfriend will be riding with me alot and shes hot and ild like to keep her that way. so safety first sometimes.
Azratrod,
Where did you get those clips that are holding the new brake lines to the chassis?
opwk: its a borg warner 3 speed with an over drive. it ended up being a t89 out of a car. its actually a better tranny then the t85. the problem that i ran into was the bellhousing that it came with was for a car and wont work because it doesnt have the lower feet for the truck crossmember. so i found the right bellhousing in apache junction. its getting steamed cleaned as i type this. i also got a new plate, clutch, and bearing kit from rock auto. if i get the parts in time ill get everything installed and the bell over the top of it all. the tranny needs a few gears replaced. but its been cleaned and ready for paint this week end too. the drive shaft is going to have to be cut down but thats ok. its a new shaft so im not to worried about it. just more money. damn!

INEPTOCRACY: (in-ep'-toc-ra-cy) : a system of government where the least capable to lead are elected by the least capable of producing, and where the members of society least likely to sustain themselves or succeed are rewarded with goods and services paid for by the confiscated wealth of a diminishing number of producers.
ive got all of the parts either being steam cleaned and dipped to get them clean, painted, or the parts are in transit. i should have everything back together early next week

I am pretty sure a truck bell is deeper than a car bell.
If it's a car tranny with a truck bell the input shaft will be too short.
