I think in the end I want to go with a Silver Jade Uni with black interior, not sure if I was a two tone, like this truck

or all one color with a smaller gold and black Mach 1 style stripe somewhere and the flatblack hood

another shipment of rust encapsulator and seam sealer has arrived. Time to get the floors fixed and interior firewall cleaned up and sealed.

did some good work on the underside of the cab over the weekend. wirebrush, clean, and brushed on some rust encapslator.

Have to cut out this rust area and weld in some new, then cover it like the rest.

Pretty stoked that the torque boxes were solid. You can see I missed some spots and need to clean that up, I was working past sundown and was hard to see under there, on your back, and ERE is dripping off the brush onto your arm and face.

Gregg it looks good and you are making steady progress. i notice you have extra holes for the gasline. seems some people just cant use the existing factory holes and need to make more for some reason.

went to work on my 68 stang seats today and found the tracks all rusted up with missing bolts and mounting screws. had to shop ebay for some replacement tracks. Found a pair for $55. should have them in a few days, painted and put back on the seats. I didn't want to spend that money right now since I need floor pans, but I didn't want them get away at that price, and floor pans are always for sale.

GREAT looking work !

Here is a double super secret on your vent door seals ! BLACK MOUSE PAD material ... should make you some nice new seals. I think I even used some old thin wet suit material on one of my trucks?

not much to report, been painting the heater box and small parts. taking the heater core and radiator to get tested this week.

some more goodies for the uni

heater box all done up in Rustoleum flat (rattle can baby!)

great pair of cardboard visors also in flat

painted up in encapsulator and flat black

upnext is the rear view mirror and steering column in flat. sadly the steering wheel is in a gloss. not sure what to do about that, maybe paint the column the same as the wheel? it would be the only thing black gloss in the cab?? who knows.

2 questions:
• Do you remember where you got you Rad Support? Was it new?
• Is the black paint POR15 or the Eastwood stuff or something else

A Rad Support is the last sheet-metal part I need to collect

I plan on neutralizing the under-body rust and spraying it with a black rust protectant, since I cant justify a body-off restoration.

the rad support wasn't a new one, I found it online a guy was sell a bunch of parts for $50. the core support one of them. I know original ones are out there for sale.

the black paint on exterior and frame parts are Eastwood Rust Encapsulator. The interior parts are Rustoleum Flat

Looks like you've been making good use of the flat black rustoleum. I've been sand blasting and using that stuff on all kinds of things on my 61. It works great. I also did my vents with it lol. About to start my build thread if i could figure out this dang picture stuff haha. Keep up the hard work man!
