Hey guys, been awhile! haven't had anytime to work on the truck. We had another little guy & have been doing some home renos. The truck has just been sitting down in our lower driveway. Just dug it out the other day!

M, the cover was just plywood and covered it in rubberized under coat. Worked for while but its toast now.

Picked up a 6.0 lq4 and 2wd 4l80e for it. Just need some time to do the swap as I dont want to start unless I know it can be finished!

We had a fair bit of snow this year.

Been a busy summer, haven't worked on the truck till last weekend. Brought the motor home, just about have it wired up. Ordered hp tuners pro, and a set of 80 lb injectors, should all be here in a week or so.

The turbo headers are one way to avoid interference... Looks like it will be a screamer. What's your goal on the power output?

dont really have a goal, as long as it will do a nice 2nd gear burn out and sounds cool, will be happy!

Engine mounts are done, have trans crossmember to make, then will build a new core support to hang the turbos off of.

small update, Ordered a bunch of parts, HP tuners, 80lb injectors, twin 44m waste gates, turbo flanges/tubing/flex lines/ Braided lines and fittings. 1/2 the shipment was back ordered so didnt really do much on it aside from make a base tune to fire it with. most of the missing parts showed up last week and they said the t3 flanges should be here in a few days. Really want to get back to work on it and at least get it running!

Started on the core support, the front section will be bolt on to make it easier to work on. Fitted the Passenger side hot side. Still waiting on the shipment with the drivers side parts to come in.

Image

Turbo has about 3/4" hood clearance, also fitted the 44mm waste gate. The waste gate will be external dump just behind the front tire.

Awesome build. Stance is perfect. Should be a screamer with twin hair dryers. Nice deal on the wiring harness you put together. Did you ever sell it? I had an 05 CVPI that I had planned on doing the swap but timing wasn't right. Keep us updated!

Now there's a good solution for rotted-out core supports. :thumright:

Thanks! had listed the wiring harness on kijiji, It did finally sell but was pretty crazy. People called just to ask for step by step instructions to wire there own 4.6's and actually had a few calls from guys tell me that I ruined the truck!! oh well, they dont like it build your own 8)

lol yes the core support wasn't pretty, po had chopped out the rust and welded some nasty sheet metal in it.

Finally received the other parts. Have the drivers side fit up. hope to build down pipes and exhaust this weekend.

Did a garage upgrade over the winter!

Image

Built the transmission crossmember then pulled the motor back out and welded up all the mounts and drilled the return lines in the pan. Also fit plates on the fire wall to mount core support too.

Image

Motor back in, rad stack is mounted and bolted in, headers all welded, and down pipes built. Have to fit the front clip on and build dump pipes next.

Are you going to run the down pipes to the existing exits you have in the bed? Those are cool. Looks like the LS will be potent.

^^ not sure yet, thinking of running them out the back so if the tune is rich it wont stink out the cab.

hoping to put some time in on the truck and have it fired by the end of next week.

04 mustang tank mounted with a AEM 320lph pump, tank filler deal is off an 07 ram1500. -6an feed and return lines, Also have all the turbo pipes welded up and oil feed and drain lines done.
