Sandblast cabinet trouble shooting.

Hello All,
I've gotten an old Dayton sandblast cabinet given to me with some other stuff I bought. I'm having a hard time getting it to work. Does anyone have a blast type cabinet? What air pressure should I be trying to use? I know my air is good, clean and dry. Does the whole system work on sucking the media up into the gun? The hose that sucks up the media is connected to a metal tube that is just shoved down into the media. I'm just getting intermittent blasting capacity. Any ideas?
Thanks for any info.

Sounds like your media is clumping, usually caused by moisture. before you start, be sure you break it all up well. I would help to have a heat source to help keep it dry. It takes a lot of air to sandblast, how much out put you got?

Make sure the hose from the siphon tube to the gun and the air hose inside is not kinked while your moving your gun around. Kinks and low air pressure will cause you to cuss!

About 90 lbs should do it.
