i have a 64 f250, it has a 292 v8 with a 4 speed. i was told it ws a camper special.
does anyone have any information on these, like how many were made and where i can find parts.
ebay has been pretty useless and the local parts are mostly a lot worse than what i'm trying to replace

Welcome to Slick 60s.
A few excellent parts sources are right here;

Tom here sells new & used parts and you get exactly what he tells you are getting quality wise.

Depending on what you need Pete is back up & around somewhat.

And of course there is his "High Slickness" - the Iceman (Brian)

There are some very knowledgeable people in this forum - we probably know more about these trucks than Ford does, lol.

Hey Ferg, Welcome. Looks like we share the same nickname..
here are production numbers. Here is the place to get your parts more/less. If someone here doesn't have them for sale, they will steer you the right way as to where to get them.

welcome to the show ferg. i'm sure someone here can help with parts. rust free hoods are getting hard to find though. one tip is to start looking at the big trucks. they usually have less miles and better sheet metal.

thanks for the welcome and the parts help. i have tracked down a few bits and have started the bodywork. if the weather holds and with a bit of luck it will be ready for paint before the end of the month.

Welcome! The way it probably looked when it left the factory, without the shell of course. Any specific questions?

i've got most of the body work finished up but have to wait for the weather to clear up before i get more pictures, hopefully before the end of the week. garage is way too small for that old tank.
i got the hood fixed and the rust knocked down and smoothed out, waiting on some parts from lmc trucks to finish it up and then get some paint on it before the snow starts.
i am wondering how many camper specials were made and if they had any special parts, paint, or badges. i'm trying to get it back close to stock other than the camper top, i really do not like those things. also i've got a tool box in the passenger bedside, is that special order or just part of the package?

Here is some info on the '64 Camper Special Package. The '64 version is a rare bird because it was introduced very late into the '64 model run. Camper Specials are much more common for '65 and '66.

A rare glimpse of a '64 Camper Special. Note: no "250" in hood emblem.
