I have several places to visit planned
Just some simple things really

Trying to get truck done before local show at end of month
Don't know if it's happening :cussing:

Plenty to do on farm.. Going to get even busier

Went looking for a water leak on the district I run
Have had about a 60,000 gallon a day leak the last week

With 60 miles of line to search, in all kinds of terrain
It's being very elusive !

Got it pinpointed down to about 8 miles after some valve isolations

The shirt sales have been good... Just made the second order
Got a nice idea for some plaques... Got to get them started

Haven't decided about dash magnets yet...
If any body has some advice on those .. Please advise

Sometimes it's stressful... No 9-5 job...
Especially when the fire pager goes off !

The fields all looked great when I was out there last Saturday.

If it keeps raining a several times a week like this, finding a water leak could be frustrating.

That's how you do it....
Shut off valves & try to find the area
Found it about 2pm & got the crew out a 4pm....
Water back on at 6pm
50 year old pvc pipe...

4" pvc
Had a hole worn thru it......
Most times breaks are usally a crack , or on a joint
But occasionally they are like this one... Just a hole worn thru
A guy told me it was from a defect on the inside when made
Made enough turbulence to eat away at the pipe
After it starts leaking the water erodes the hole bigger quickly
It was about 1 1/2" long & 1/4" wide

Plenty muddy !

The crew I hire does all the dirty work...
Their insurance won't cover me, so I don't get in the trench
Still have to do plenty of driving & turning valves off & on

Did plenty of the crap work years ago when younger
Had this temporary job for 35 years.....
