i got an 85 to use as a driver so i could start working on the 66 250 when i have the funds. my ? is did ford ever use dual tanks on them i know they are on the post 87 trucks but i dont ever rember seeing them on 80-86. I ask cuz it seems the fuel pick up is to short for the front tank at empty im only putting in about 12 gal of fuel

I know someone who had a 1983 f-150 that had daul tanks. I`m not sure what size tanks they were.

I owned a 82 F150 once that had dual tanks. Front I believe was 18 gallons and rear was 20. Cant remember for sure.

i replace a rear tank on my friends 85 f150 and it was a 15 gallon tank

I know Ford had dual tanks in the 70's, and I've seen a 66 F250 Camper Special with two extra tanks. I don't think those were Ford factory tanks on the 66 though.

I need to know your box length, cab configuration, and drivetrain. Have most of those specs in my head if you post the info.

reg cab 8' box ........ if it was a single midship tank would it be longer and shallower that the midship dual ??
