I got lost when you said they were not on I beam trucks.... were'nt they all I beam trucks? 4X4 and F500 up were straight axles, I thought too where the grill was attached to the radiator support, but that would the same on all. I think I want to say I've seen these, just can not put a good finger ...

The 'S' or 'I' is on the solenoid on the firewall.dirtbike wrote:Thanks Roger.
Unfortunately there is no "S" or "I" terminals marked on the starter motor.
I think it is time to replace it with a fresh one!

I am wondering if something broke in the heater box since 3 of the 4 bolts that hold it to the firewall were loose and it had been moving around some for who knows how long. I have had a low speed rattle in the heater area forever, bolts tight, ashtray and glovebox have rubbers, found it the other ...

Don't know where you are, but today I was all today over CL saw at least 4, 3 speed floor shifter kits one was nos. tried to look tonight at home found 2 in Iowa [used] North Jersey under Hurst -many. I've done 2 65's and 2 52 Ford headliners all bought thru DC over the years, and never heard of wetting them until I saw it on this site a while back. Mine did not seem to come with instructions, did them by myself no issues.

Got it, put it in- pretty happy with it. The floor shifter hole is back just behind my shift tower, I removed both of my shift levers cut out around the shift tower and 4x lever hole the 4x boot covers their knock out hole, there is 2 small [1/8"] holes to the right for parking brake lever on ...

Just checked with one of our techs here, he has never seen any either, looked it up in NAPA there is no buyers application guide listed for that p/n. NAPA supplier has 139 on hand, NAPA warehouse has 629 in stock.--Someone must use them Checked my computer, we've never had any.

Tom, I worked on a ton of 460's up until about 12 years ago, all RVs some E350 mini buses, do not remember ever seeing shims, ever.

Ordered one today from Chucks Trucks in Hamden,Ct -an agent for DC. he said no gear and lightning bolt but it is as close to what I need that he can get, I'll try to post pics when I install it.
