Re: Crown Vic or Mustang II???
after doing my 03 crown vic ifs swap in my unibody i would never use a different one. It was extremely easy and cost effective. I dont think wheel selection is a limited as some people make it out to be. the stock crown vic wheels will work along with a lot of later model mustang wheels and aftermar...

Ozark F100 Run next weekend
Anyone else from here going? My unibody is not going to be done to make it but I have gone the last few years. Not a huge show and alot of 50's trucks but if anyone is around the Branson Mo area, stop by. I would like a chance to get to meet some guys off the board and put a face with the name. http...

Re: bcook07's Unibody Build
Well it's been a while since i posted anything on this build. I have done some work but not a ton. First to answer the question... So you want to adjust the tune yourself? yes. I will be doing a custom tune myself. lately I notched the rear frame to keep the axle from hitting the frame. I got my she...

Re: IFS/IRS questions
I am doing the 03 up vic ifs. I would go with it again in a heartbeat (especially using a 4.6L). the install is extremely easy. Using a modular engine, the motor mounts are a bolt in task with a set of mounts for a 03-up crown vic. mustang headers/exhaust manifolds and x or h pipes bolt on and fit v...

Re: Any vintage Mustang owners?
Here is mine. I have had it since i was 16 (im 24 now). I was going to be a father son project but my dad passed from pancreatic cancer shortly after i got it. I tinker with it but It pisses me off most of the time so i havent seriously worked on it in quite a while. It just seems to be one of those...

Re: bcook07's Unibody Build
Nope, I deleted the egr and the evap. The car I bought was a 2000 crown vic cop car. It does not have pats. When I get it on the road I am going to custom tune the pcm with the Delta Force Sniper system http://www.deltaforcetuning.com I also put my harness on a major diet. I have the engine harness ...

Re: bcook07's Unibody Build
Hey man truck looks great. Was wondering what you did with the motor mounts. I'm not sure how I'm going to mount mine yet. Any pictures? The motor mounts are stock. Because i used a 4.6L in the cradle designed for a 4.6 i just bolted on a stock set of mounts to the engine and dropped it in, no fab ...

Re: bcook07's Unibody Build
Yah, most likely. Its going to be a while before i do the body work and paint the exterior any more than just a primer coat to make it look a little less like a brown blotchy milk cow. My next order of business is to get the inteior in it and then get the front clip primed and back on it. I will dri...

Re: bcook07's Unibody Build
Just a quick update, I got the windsheild and the rear glass in the truck last night. The windsheild was a bitch to say the least. I have installed a few windsheilds in older f100's and they have went in fine. we had to fight this one all the way. The back glass thankfully went much easier. http://i...

Re: window channel kit
I ordered the kit from carpenter. I got the kit that is $200 for both doors. I ended up getting new vent rubbers also. I figured that if i am there i might as well replace them. I ordered my new windshield today too. I should be here tomorrow. It was an exciting but expensive day.

Re: Anyone try making their own underhood information sticke
I would scan in or find an online picture of one of the factory decals. Then edit the diagram in photoshop or paint. Then I would upload it on one of the thousands of custom vinal sticker companies online and have them print and send them to you. I think if you edited the factory sticker graphic you...

Re: bcook07's Unibody Build
I like the eggshell gives it a little gloss but not enough to blind you when the sun hits it It also covers up my terrible body work  The real reason i went with the eggshell is because I was trying to get it close to the color/gloss level of a modern plastic dash. I plan on using some fac...

Re: bcook07's Unibody Build
I guess its time for another update. I finished up filling in the dash holes that i am not going to use and smoothed out the steps as best as i could. they are still a little rough but i am going to bedline them for durability so the little inperfections wont be noticeable. I painted the interior an...

Re: bcook07's Unibody Build
Rick, I dont know wether to tell you its cool that our trucks are alike, or to offer my condolences that yours looks like mine lol.
I think i am going to patch up the floor with flat sheet, I will reinforce under it and then it will all be covered by the fuel tank cover anyway.

Re: bcook07's Unibody Build
Since its a little easier to get at then most, could you measure the tank for me? I've tried to get them on line but all I get are capacities. And maybe a pic of how you've got it mounted? The one in my donar was squashed to the point I couldn't get it out. http://i482.photobucket.com/albums/rr190/...

I have an 04 F150 with 140,000 miles on the 5.4 Triton engine and have not had problem one and I've driven and towed all over the south and into the Midwest. 04 got a new head design that eliminated ...

Re: 62 shorty uni street rod build
Some of you guys talk about putting the wire harness on a diet but still use most of the chassis harness. I guess my truck's wiring is anorexic. I cut off just the 3 or 4 plugs that send power/grn/signals to and from the engine/trans harness and combined them into my rebel wire univeral chassis harn...
