Re: To be auctioned next month; '64 flareside w/ 'Vette powe

Putting the bowtie additions to the side, sure seems like a nice truck.

I'll venture a guess at $27,500

Re: 65 F250 on cover of Vintage Truck Magazine

Well, guess it is quite clear that I have not checked into the "Members Only" section of the forum in a while.

Again congrats Steve. Can't wait to see who's slick is next on a cover!

65 F250 on cover of Vintage Truck Magazine

Nice looking blue 65 F250 (4x4) on the cover of the Jan/Feb 2013 edition of Vintage Truck Magazine - owned by Steve Lopes out of Rhode Island. If he/you are a member here, congrats on the honor. It is one nice truck,

Re: Some people is just rude when ordering parts

Another sad commentary on the direction of people in our country. We went up North for Thanksgving. Wife (by herself) was in line at a fast food place getting a drink. Car in front would not pull away so she could not get by. Rather than blast the horn she was patient. Car behind her was less patien...

Re: 64 short bed

Thanks to all for the nice comments.

JCM - there was a 390 in the short bed. There were brackets welded into the side of the frame to support the motor, looked like it was done after the truck was originally built. I pulled the 223 out of the long bed and it fit right in, no fuss no muss!

Re: 64 short bed

Sorry for the delay in upating the build, here's where I am at with the project. While the Rustoleum roll-on project was going well from an application and leveling standpoint, I just could not get happy with the color. With the cab being the last section decided to bag it and started going crazy wi...

Dave - cool truck, enjoy the build. If you decide to go with aftermarket side mirrors, I'd buy the rectangular mirrors of your unibody. About to finsih my truck and working hard to have no chrome items on the outside of the truck (everything orange and white except the windhsield wipers and gas cap)...

Re: 69 Fairlane Cobra

Paul - I might have used the wrong verbage. I am not clear as to whether the Formal (hardtop) vs. Sportsroof (fastback) is more or less rare in terms of numbers. However in terms of value, a concours quality 69 Sportsroof with R code and drag pack is valued approximately $25,000 - $30,000 higher tha...

69 Fairlane Cobra

Took me little over a year but was able to finally acquire this 1969 Fairlane Cobra. This is an R code car but unfortunately the 428 was blown.
