1964 F100 Rat Rod for parts & Burn-Out

So I have been having trouble with the 300 six in my 66 F100 that I spent last winter working on. I decided I would look around for a 351 and an automatic transmission to replace the six three on the tree combo that I have currently. Well today I find this 64 on Craigslist the guy started a rat rod project with it and ran out of money. I am going to pull the motor and transmission for my 66 and part out the rest of the truck. It came with air bags too! I had to do a burn-out with it after we got her back to the shop.Oh ya the guy was asking $1650 after we spoke to him on the phone he said $1500 once we got there and picked the truck apart I got it for $680 and he left the half of case of beer in the bed too! LOL

I don't know? I thought about putting my 300 six three speed in it and setting out front for $500.

Ya, it is a long bed. i will take more pictures and see if anyone is interested in parts. It has some sort of contraption under the dash on the passenger side, i don't know if it is some kind of old school AC set-up or what it is. I did a VIN check and it will only tell me the date of manufacture,location and engine size. This truck came with a 292 three speed.

here are a few pics of the 64 engine donor. After i pull the engine and transmission I think I will flat black this trick and sell it. Also Does anyone know what is under the dash on the passenger side?

Is this just a vent with a blower motor in it or some sort of under dash AC?

yes, thats where the heat comes out to keep you warm in the winter months

The heater will look different in your 66. They tuck up behind the dash a little better. If you don't have one it would be awfully cold in the winter to be driving around in.

Yep that is a 1964 vintage Ford deluxe heater.

That truck don't look too bad at all. Better than what at least half of us started with

Ya, I have one in my truck, I don't know if it works since I have never driven it in cold weather.

Got any pics of the air ride setup and how it is setup? Four link or what in the rear? What front clip is on it or is it stock? The air ride could make or break the truck depending on who did it..

The air ride is not installed. They gave me all the bags,tanks,switchs,compressor,brackets and other stuff with the truck. the guy cut the bed to notch the frame and never got that done either so it is right on the rear axel.
