Yep, Gerald. Although I need another project like I need a hole in my head, (I'll probably end up with something anyway - no sense fighting it), lol.
I know the retractables, I didn't know the setup was developed for Lincoln though.

I too find the Lincoln part of that story to be news. They are a sight to behold, those retractible tops, although there is a Volkswagen version of them currently, if you can imagine that.
Ford and Lincoln of the mid-late fifties had a real fascination with roofs for some reason, if you recall the Futura prototype, which somehow didn't get destroyed by Ford, became the Batmobile. They (Barris's)chopped up the bubble (plexi) glass roof.

Thanks for the education, I have never seen one of the Mercury versions of the glass roofs.
It's a race.. Will hell freeze over or will JC finish his truck first. Stay tuned..

Josh, did you ever go over to the ATHS web site and ask about info for your B model Mack?

It's been over a year and I thought it's about time I provided a update.... I started off with one Mack a 1940's B-42. I ended up getting another Mack a 1964 B-53. With the two trucks I was able to to make one. I still have a ton of work left to do, but the body work is pretty much done. The body we choose to move forward with was from the B-42, It's now all in primer and sitting in storage. We are working on the drive line and frame of the other truck. I just finished extending the frame so now the truck is 31 feet end to end. I like long trucks, which is why all my pickups are longbeds....

Still TONS of work to do, but it's coming along.

These pictures are just some misc pictures I took here and there. They aren't in any real order... Sorry...

These pictures are from this weekend after working with a hotzy for a couple of hours trying to clean the dirty and grim.

If anyone has any good tips on trying to get the engine as clean as possible without taking it out of the rails would be much appreciated!!!

Hope you enjoy.
