Hello Guys

Post by fordf100guy66 »

Well all the questions about lowering and I haven't got to it yet.I put in the garage and started marking spots that needed some work on the body and things changed drasticly. Paint chips, dings,&about half a dozen spots showing the beginnings of rust involved every panel except one.Things went from repainting the same solid black color to becoming a Harley-Davidson Edition. (Harley orange and black) It's in a friends body shop & I'm excited but yet nervous.I will try to get pics up when its done.

sounds like it will look killer!!
I love it when guys think outside the box and put a modern twist on an old classic like that. if ford and harley had teamed up in the 60's, im sure your truck would fit the bill! cant wait for pics!!!!!!

It was a sharp truck. I think that it got up over $15k on ebay but the reserve was not met. They had tons of pictures. I saved all of them. Using them along with a lot of other slicks for my screen saver.

Thanks Guys for the nice comments and the pics. The pics helped a lot on the orange & black combo. I was reading what I wrote and it sounded as if I was doing the work, I only wish I was that talented. Big Nasty Motorsports in Hillsboro,Mo. is doing the work for me. Hillsboro is in the St.Louis area. If you are in the area & need work,he does a great job.

That one Chris posted was at Slick Stock in 08. I have pics and descriptions of alot of the details if you would want them. 05 HD 250 were cool too, black with a red lick of flames on the lower portion or dk blue with a lighter blue flame, former neighbor had a charcoal HD supercrew with red trim. The are quite a few Harley F series truck paint variations - don't have to be just black & orange.

It was actually orange.
Couple more shots of it;

That is an adhesive back gas cap emblem for a bike - there are several styles.

Image

Nicely not over done but classy interior.

Image

Nice roll pan - good stance. I love how the paint line is done on this truck.

Image

Gives a good perspective on how low it is. That is Cam's bone stock "time capsule" right behind it.

One more - all I have of it. I usually go for more traditional stuff - the "whole package" design, custom mods, fit, finish, etc on this truck is quite impressive.

Nice. Still looks good. The orange does come out better in those other pictures. One sweet ride. I think I'm going with black over silver for my slick. I haven't seen to many of those out there but all the vehicles I've seen (blk/sil) look good.

I like the two tone paint on the slicks. I did mine with GM colors, funny the black truck above looks like it has the same GM atomic orange paint that I used.
