302 vs 352 Tower's

Post by Paranoid! »

Im assuming that the frame towers for the 352 motor are different than the 302...
Are the mounting points the same?.. :?
Or will I have to align the motor and find the new points of attachment?
I thought I was wrong once...
Turned out I was right!!

dont know how much of this applies. frames are supposed to be similar to 72. says you gotta drill lower holes.

The FE Perch will mount a windsor however the engine will be about 1 1/2 too high in the chassis and cause drive line issues.

The correct 302 perch will mount any windsor and also the cleveland series engines.

The mounts go in to the upper back set of holes and may or may not need to be drilled on the bottom. Simply bolt the tops in and drill the bottoms.

The Fordification link has correct info, and Garbz is right, too. I just did this on my 66 2WD that is getting a 351W. I had to drill the lower holes in the cross-member.

Yup!! :)
The extra mount holes are there..
Sweet!!
So all I'll have to do is pull the towers with the 352 and drop it in..
And maybe drill a hole or two.
Sweet....
Thanks for info people!!
