It has been awhile since I have posted but I have dropped in a few times to check on Reds, Keystones and other builds. I have got alot of ideas and motivation here. I have attached a couple of pics. My appologies for the pic size its the smallest I could get them.
Sweeeeeeetttt, I love those A arms. Who makes those? Did you have the body blasted or dipped? Looking good and no appologies for the small pics, I like to be able to see without my glasses. lol
Thanks for all the comments. I had the body media blasted top and bottom and once I get the chassic put back together its going back on for preliminary door fit, wiring etc.
I then will take it back off again and cage it to complete the replacement of the torque box, steps and rockers. I got some more parts back from the coater. The power windows I made with help from a post here. They work great. I also have the 5.4 Lightning motor cleaned up and ready to go in.
Did you check you power windows for fitting? If they are tilted too much, they hit the window division bar or the wing window pivot.
The Lightning motor should be a lot of fun to play with

The window motors are from an early 90s Saturn and they were around $60 for both and have a lifetime warranty and as kstone63 mentioned it is very important to get the angle correct as there is limited clearance.
For me that was the only part that took a little time window glass and regulator in and out a couple of times. Its is easy and inexpensive compared to the $350 plus kits that are out there.
I had started cleaning up the factory harness to use it but it is just to time consuming. I have ordered a complete wiring system from Scott at the Detail Zone. It should make wiring the engine and trans much easier and quicker.
very nice! cab is clean, frame looks awesome, and the motor.... hell yeah! can't go wrong with that combination, gonna be a nice truck man. what are you doing in the rear? keeping leafs? drop?
I still have a ways to go time is my enemy. The front is a No Limit IFS kit with about 6inches of drop and the rear is a No Limit 4 link with about 7 inches of drop. I narrowed the Lightning rearend and opened up the rear tubs by about three inches. Im running 18x8.5 up front and 20x10 on back.
If you have that post with the power window conversion bookmarked on your pc, could you post it up?
Thanks!
<edit> Found it quick, sorry to bug ya. For anyone else, PFM documented it here.... http://www.purpleflyingmonkey.com/1964- ... indow.html
The document on that page is a step-by-step instruction booklet with photos. Looks too simple. Thanks, guys!
I have made a little more progress. Its off to the body shop for paint. The batteries in my camera died but here are a few more pictures. Ill get some pictures posted later and show how I eliminated the torque box and came up with a better solution.
