am i weird?

Post by ezernut9mm »

i find that i go outside and just stare at my truck a lot. i have owned lots of cars and trucks and i always seem to go out and just look at them. i also take lots of pictures.
my wife's photo bucket is full of pics of us and the kids and things we have done, but mine is full of my old cars and trucks.
i can only smoke outside so that gives me lots of opportunities to go out and just stare at the uni and think about the stuff i need or want to do to it.
to me, this is like an affair. i would never cheat on my wife, but with cars it is different. it is almost like lust. lol
sometimes i think about all the money i could have in the bank if it weren't for my vehicular obsessions.
i'm pretty sure it is all henry's fault.
curse you henry ford, curse you!

I have had a 63 another 63 And then I found a 64 more like it found me but that's a different story. I have had a old ford truck since the summer of 1986. The joy never fades away. I'm glad I have a cammera phone now. Buying film for my cammera and getting it developed got to be costing a bunch.

It is funny that you'd say this Chris. If you look on my photobucket line (The Green Machine) my Slick isn't much to look at yet. But last Friday I finally got the engine fired up and have since gone out there everyday just to turn the key and hear the engine. Now if I could just get the oil light to turn off...

Chris, I got on chat for a bit last Sunday and someone mentioned you were on a smoke break. I commented that you weren't smoking, you just went to go stare at your truck some more. :D

Being drawn into a trance admiring an old truck is normal especially on a truck forum. However quoting a 19th century German philosopher on a truck forum might raise a few eyebrows :o
As my dad used to say, somewhere there was a horse that died a painful death from terminal constipation due to missing a key part of its anatomy.

Back in the early eighties I had been married for three years had my son 2 years old and my daughter 1 year old. I worked for the local Fire dept. 24hrs. on 48hrs. off, pulled wrenches at the Honda/Suzuki shop on the off days, so only actual off days were two out of three Sundays. Money was tight so my old 64 spent some time broke down on the back edge of the pasture in the shade of an old oak tree. I spent some time behind the wheel in the shade in project planning mode, didn't make the noises though.
As my dad used to say, somewhere there was a horse that died a painful death from terminal constipation due to missing a key part of its anatomy.
