Are you folks using gear oil or grease in your manual steering boxes?

Gear oil or grease?
If it cain't be fixed with a sledge hammer it must be an electrical problem!

PO had filled gearbox with grease. After new seals I used gear oil.
If it cain't be fixed with a sledge hammer it must be an electrical problem!

I like the grease better too. My steering box is excessively close to my headers and tends to seep with the heat. If the seals are new, no problem on the gear grease, but I like the consistency of the grease.
