Gear oil or grease?

Are you folks using gear oil or grease in your manual steering boxes?

X2. What Ice says. Ford literature says gear oil.

PO had filled gearbox with grease. After new seals I used gear oil.

I packed mine with Amsoil brand synthetic grease. It turns better than with oil in all weather.

I like the grease better too. My steering box is excessively close to my headers and tends to seep with the heat. If the seals are new, no problem on the gear grease, but I like the consistency of the grease.

i'm the weird one.... pumped in a bunch of grease & topped it off with oil
