64 f100 front suspension swap
that is one of the things I like about the 5th ave. My front bumper is 10" off the groung and I still have my full turning radius. I'm running 7" wheels in the front and theres no problems. My wheels are even sitting alittle up in the fenders. It really looks nice. One of these days I'll figure out how to post pics. I know this IFS has it's pros & cons, but doesn't everything? But for the money, I think it's really nice. I think that I could run 8" wheels in the front with no probems. LEE

I had some 302 mounts that I cut up, added 2" square "risers" to and bolted through the mounts on the CV front end. I basically just hung the motor in there, got it where I wanted it, bolted the mounts to the engine and fabbed the rest. I was dreading that day but it wound up only taking an afternoon and I was admiring it drinking a beer before the sun went down. If I had to do it again I may have gone a different route, but I used what I had on hand. I'll post some pics later on when I get home.

forgot to snap some pics last night. you can't see much in this picture from my photobucket, but kind of shows the basic idea. I put a rubber bushing with the metal cups on either side above the CV crossmember, then a plate to bolt through that is offset to get the motor in the correct postion, then 2" square steel riser with an angled top to get my engine rake, then the plate with the holes to bolt to the block. The guy I bought the truck from had the kit to put a 302 in our trucks so by cutting that up and using a little square stock I was able to make them up.
