Anyone even using them?

Seems like everything is roll panels now... I guess since I never cracked my knee on anyones at the slickstock..I didn't bother looking down.

I remember there was some old joke about using a upside down chevy bumper, don't recall if that was tied to the rear uni though.

Anyone going custom, new ideas for the back?

I sort of have a thing for tube bumpers..I know some people hate them.. I think I will use something on mine..instead of just the roll pan.

I bet you would LOVE my idea for a "nerf bar/bumper" for a Uni. I have one for the model I built. I'll get you a pic after I get the mounts finished and get it mounted.

And JKimbrel I can't believe I didn't notice your bumper..I have to tell you my friend dropped by the show quick on saturday..And he agreed with me...its impossible to build a better looking long uni than yours..it could be equaled maybe..but not beaten...

I did find a pic in the threads..
It does look surprisingly like an upside down front bumper. It sure doesn't look much like a truck bumper though, no big trailer hitch going on there...

Loved the lightnings..Not sure I told you guys this story at SS4..
My buddy had a white lightning (how appropriate)

He bought it the first year they were out... REAL cheap,sort of brand new ..

The story is someone stole it and took it for a joyride. And when they were done they tried to drive it into the river ! However they picked a bad spot and buried it up to the axles along the bank. My buddy got it, changed the oil greased the bearings, cleaned the breaks ,etc.

He got sort of over car'd, and under funded and he had to sell something, well the lightning sold first

He also had a newloaded gt mustang, he dropped the insurance on it before the lightning sold..Someone stole about 4000.00 worth of tires and wheels off of it..two days after he dropped the insurance...he wasn't happy...

Roll pans look great and are great for trailer queens. On the road, you need a bumper for the idiot behind you. It's much easier to replace a bumper than to perform body work, and a lot less hassle.
I think my bumper is the original. It's been welded on and tweaked by a previous owner.

The guy used a couple of front slick bumpers to fabricate those. Pretty cool huh?
