Do they just hate me?

Post by Brian Taylor »

Went out to move the truck and found some @#(*#&( had taken a screwdirver or something to my stereo and had busted the entire faceplate and everything off the radio in the dash. I could not find a single piece of it in or around the truck. So, whoever, took the broken pieces with them. All that is left is the internal electronics and frame which is now bent to hell.
It was a cheap stereo so it was a kid out for kicks.

Wow not good sorry to hear. Think of the good thing your truck is still there. I know not much help but.

Was the truck locked?

Brian.
That kind of crap grinds on me. Kids today have no respect for anyone or anything. Its kind of like the old hound dog philosophy, if you can't eat it or screw it, p!ZZ on it. The ghetto philosophy is if you can't steal it or screw it, bust it up so no one else can have it.
Wish I could catch the punks in the act someday.......

one of the local guys that would come up to Home Depot on Fridays once told me he had 2 trucks one sitting in a field behind his dads place and the other he was working on, went out to get the trani out of the other and "Kids" and flipped the truck over and stole the transmission!

It was locked but the wing windows are loose and easy to open. I really think I know the kid who did it. A boy in the neighborhood was playing with my boys and started to try and fight and I sent him away. 2 days later "bingo". I have not seen him near the house lately either.

sorry to hear about your troubles
least you didnt come out one morning and find 3 dozen eggs , bananas and peaches smeared int the paint and gas tank , then to add insult to injury , they spray painted my windshield on the inside , dash cluster and seat
good thing i keep a stock of berrymans b-12 to clean most of it off and had the foresight to install some screen in the gas filler neck to keep crap from falling into the tank

Had some kid go in mine and steal a $3 halloween skeleton I had hanging from the mirror and they got my $2 sunglasses and I park under a street light. I now lock the passenger door from the inside but the drivers side don't lock.
I got 3 pair of cheap sunglasses in it now trying to tempt them again but no takers. I figure some kid did it on a dare the first time....still pisses ya off though.
If I do catch them in the act we are going to see if they can out run 53lbs of pitbull and 90lbs of choc. lab and that lab can catch a squirrel.

Last year my truck was egged, they opened the door and started pitching. That kids mom caught him and tanned his assets very well. That was just clean up and go.

that sucks brian. i wish people could just learn to leave other people's sh!t alone. the bad part is even if you catch them there's not much you can do without getting yourself in more trouble than they would get.

You could cut a slot on the inside of the door handle that just happens to fit a utility knife blade. Just in case you need a place to keep spares you know. whistle.gif

File a police report and name him as a suspect. Let his parents know that you think it was him.

Sorry to hear that Brian!, I had stuff taken from a truck in my drive at our last place, over three months, first they took a Whacker packer, then a petrol demo saw, then all my drills and a circular saw!, oh yeah and one time they got in and stole the ash tray!( probably thought I kept my money in there!) WRONG!, I smoked then!

OOP`S forgot the point of the story!, each time it was a full moon!
Honey, If I say I`ll fix something I will, there`s no need to remind me every 6 months!!

I hate it when that happens... there is no sense in it... the Maverick that I drove for a while, when I bought it, I had to put a windshield in it where they had thrown a big (football size) rock through it and they got into the car and took the factory AM radio.... now what would you do with a factory AM radio?????? Senseless..... I feel for your troubles BT
