Speedo cable 3spd manual

Post by TOMJAK11 »

I'm sure there's a trick to removing the speedobcable from the trans but I haven't found it. I removed the bolt etc. What am I missing?

Thanks,

Tom

Most likely just stuck. The cable slips into the hole. sopmetimews sticks. I would try tapping it with the plastic handle of a screwdriver. If that doesn't work, then try a knife under the lip on the edge. The lip doesn't for very far under, so all you can expect is to gain enough to put scredriver balde under it to pry.

Took mine out of the tranny yesterday to replace with a new one. After taking out the nut, just pull straight back.

I sprayed mine with PB blaster, let it soak awhile then just pulled it out.
