Nice to see a Model A driver

Took this about 20 minutes ago. It was rolling at about 52 mph.

I would love to have one of those. Not all fancied up, but very road worthy. There is a guy in my son's neighborhood that has one. Great looking old truck.

I was about to post a smart a** comment about it must have been a downhill....when I looked at the pic again, and sure enough it is:):)

Nice looking A-bone, glad to see someone taking it out to stretch it's legs occasionally:)

I'd venture to say that he is running somthing other than the banger motor they cam with.. The duals is a quick tip off. With my A coupe, the only time it saw 50 plus was when it was on the trailer heading back from where I bought it from...lol The bangers motors are cool, but I like to drive my cars, so a transplant has been called for.. SBC is in the works.. I would love to find a good running Y block for her, but they are a hard transplant in an A with stock frame....

From the shape of the box and tailgate, and the size of the hubcaps,I'd say it's a '32 or '33 V8 truck, 52 mph is just low end cruising for a flathead

just ask Clyde Barrow

It's a race.. Will hell freeze over or will JC finish his truck first. Stay tuned..

I had a chance to buy a barn stored 30 ish ford truck once..why oh why didn't I bring it home?

had all kinds of high performance parts on a flathead, I recall the guy wanted as much for the motor, as the truck.. and it wasn't THAT much...

My Dad has a '26 T Depot Hack (Woody Wagon) w/orig. motor, but he added a Warford OD behind the trans, and a police friend clocked him at 54 mph w/radar on the flats. It was kinda scary, as the steering on T's is basically go-cart type, and slight movements end up as "lane changes" real quick.

Yes my dad clocked me at close to 50 MPH downhill this summer (when my avatar was taken) in the T bucket.
Steering is arse-puckering quick at that speed in a T

I could tell this guy was "steering" that truck the entire time.

now that is just sweet no matter how you slice it. great to see the old gals doing what they were made to do instead of rolling off trailers at a car show.

That is a nice truck and a good photo!

I was visiting with a friend last weekend and he told me that he has an old car that he needs to finish or sell. I asked what it was and he told me it was a 1936 Ford Coupe! He told me that it needs an air filter for the flathead and knee action shocks. Maybe I need to ask what he wants for it...ya think???
