1960 Fridge special truck/ pictures

Post by Uncle Skip »

Guys.
There is a young man here in Houston who has an all original 1960 Ford SWB flight line fuel truck for sale. It is eat off the floor clean and has NO rust.
He sent me pictures but they're to big to post here. If anyone wants to take a look, e-mail me and I'll send them to you.
I asked him to re-send them in a smaller format. If/ when he does, I'll post them
Its a flight line truck so its never been off smooth concrete.
Can't imagine how few miles it must have.
$2500.00?
Let me know.

Nice looking truck. Any idea what it carried in that tank? It looks pretty small. The couple of Slick tankers I've seen used on airports were larger. Hope it wasn't used as a "honey wagon" :-)

Av-gas.
It is from a Southern California small airport.
Runs and drives and can't have very many miles on it. And, it's never been off smooth concrete. Gotta be a big plus.

Airport vehicles get worn out in a completely different way. A lot of starts, stops, wear-n-tear due to the weight, weathered from sitting out in the open a lot, etc. Different from vehicles that go 50+ mph everyday in traffic.

What Max said ^^^. I have found a few of the flight line tankers in salvage yards and gotten a few parts off of them but a lot of what was there was unuseable.

No complaints from me skip. I was just joking about driving a fueler down the road as is, you'd prolly suck up tons o CO...

Gotta wonder how much 'Gatorade' ol grits drinks if he thinks the honey wagon needs to be a fuel truck...

Funny you should mention her Skip. I noticed the mole on her right butt cheek and asked her about it and she told me it's a beauty mark not a mole. All is good now.
