coating/painting headers

Post by ironhead65 »

Hello men, looking for knowledge again. I have a set of headers to go on my 289, I'm gonna bead blast them in my cabinet. What do you recomend for paint or coating them? Or am I wasting my time due to the intense heat issue?? Any tips is appreciated. Thanks mike

I just blasted mine and coated them with Rustoleum HIGH Temp Paint (2000*). I used the 2000* primer and the flat black. Then I cured them on the grill as directed on the can (the lid barely closed). I only have a 100 miles on them but they look pretty good.
