Tomorrow Im pulling my motor.....suggestions???

I got the day off and my uncle is coming over to help me pull out the engine of my 1965 F100. Its a tired 352 FE. Is there a rebuild kit to give this engine new life...Cam, lifters, and all the goodies Ill need to bring it back stock.....no big improvements to make it a Rod, just want it like new. Any suggestions????

I would look at PAW (Performance Auto Warehouse) for a complete engine rebuild kit. They have good prices. I just Googled them and they are only selling through Ebay (??).
Sometimes your friendly local machine shop/parts house can get good prices on rebuild kits too.

One thought: You want to get all the machine work completed that needs to be done on the block and crank before ordering a kit. That way you get the right size bearings and pistons.

You can have a local machine shop rebuild your engine and you assemble it. Or you could buy a good running used 360 or 390 and install a Rv camshaft and timing chain a set of lifters and call it good. Or you could do an engine exchange from ebay, Ford, NAPA or Jasper engines. I prefer the exchange route for a host of reasons. Mainly a warranty, new engine performance and low cost. If you build your own you will not save money, no warranty and one mistake can ruin the project. A good running salvage yard engine is a very cost effective option. Ford stuck millions of FE engines in cars and trucks over the 20+years they were used. Lots of them out there with low miles and rebuild stickers. Ya gotta look around.

Unfortunately that is not good advice. You never get the parts after the machinework is done. The machinist needs the parts to fit them. The proper proceedure is have the machinist do the preliminary cleaning and measuring and then you order parts and then he does the final machine work to fit the parts. Hawkrod
