Fuel tank relocation

Anyone done a fuel tank relocation to the rear
I have a spot to put it just curious how hard
It will be and is it worth it? Do you get any more
Room in the cab with tank gone?

Many people have used a Mustang tank. Search around a little you should find a bunch of info on it :D

Ive got a Jaz poly fuel cell in my truck. Fits in the same spot as the mustang cell and has a 16 gal cap. I think you can get them on Summit but JAZ is a local company for me so I got it directly. The fill is center mounted on top so I fabricated a door to fit.

you do not get any more leg room as the seat wil not go any further back but you do gain storage behind the seat you did not have before
There are some Days I should not be let to go into the public without adult supervision

The tank yet I have a very little budget

Not worth the effort IMHO. If you want more room for the driver invest in a tilt column, PS and a smaller steering wheel.

i would add the tank to have another but keep the original.

I will add this,
My tank is not in the cab, so I was able to build a different seat mount that DOES lean the seat back further.. taller stands up front than the rear. I got rid of the sliding mechanism as it seemed of no real use to me. I feel it does make for a nicer sitting position with a stock seat..
