Compessor lines.....................

I have some black iron pipe, enough to get me started anyway.
Guy who built my garage says "Copper" - period, lol.
Whatever I install now does not have to be permanent for one thing - I can improve later as I have more money.
Finishing out the new shop will take some time - just need to get it usable for now with as little outlay as possible.

Use the black Iron pipe. The stuff from NT is only rated for 150 psi. My compressor goes to 175 psi.

Greg the black iron will be just fine . Heck honestly I have been running off of several 50 foot hoses for years in my shop . I had planned to run 3/4 " copper and had everything needed till we had a house fire and I ended up using all of it to repipe the house

i would use the black iron too.
besides copper is spendy and these days invites thieving scrappers.recently i have heard they even hang out at places copper is sold looking for customers to follow home then return later to steal.

Black pipe is fine just slope it so you can drain it well. Black pipe will rust from the inside from moisture.

Never ever use PVC for air lines. Pvc can schatter when you least expect it sending plastic all over.

Thanks Tom, PVC was never an option for that reason - I am perfectly cable of making a mess without the assistance, lol.
I appreciate the comments guys - my thoughts exactly.
