When I transport only one or two Ambulatory Patients (those that can move on their own and need very little assistance) for the Veterans' Administration, I use one of those for that purpose. Sure is a world of difference in the performance and handling that the 12 Passenger Van that I used for everything before the Explorer became available to me. Also makes the round trip from Globe to Phoenix and back on just a bit more than half the fuel.

Haven't seen those around here yet. But I do see lots of the new Taurus-based Interceptors and Dodge Chargers.

The municipal auctions are gonna be fun in a few years.

They have a few here in Calgary, at least one of which is a ghost car. They like to get sneaky and use things like a previous-generation Ford Escape, a Chevy Colorado, and a variety of late model pickups with headache racks as ghost cars as well. One is a F-350 crew with a topper. They have a bunch of small red and blue lights hidden all over the vehicles that are darn near impossible to spot from a distance. A far cry from the Crown Vic ghost cars and their telltale side mirrors.

Our county has at least several of the topper-equipped Super Duty's,plus untold F150's. Our local police are using the Explorers as well as the gas guzzling Tahoes. Most of the newer vehicles are ghost logo'd and pretty stealthy. The state DPS has F150's and hemi Rams, as well as Tahoes, but they are the traditional black and white.
With new laws allowing more municipalities to enforce commercial truck regulations, we will probably see more of the trucks and PUV's.
