haha geez. those were the days, weren't they???? I couldn't know.... I didn't come into the playing field till the 90's...

I think it's all a bit horrifying in a sickly sleasy kind of way, but I find that I have to halfway appreciate something that a lot of QUALITY work went into, regardless of what it is....

But still.... GROSS. I sure as hell wouldn't want to see that van under blacklight....

No no no, that van is an unused prop from Battlestar Galactica 1980. It was supposed to be a special vehicle the Cylons used to get around on Earth. To help them blend in.

Some of those old vans are rolling works of art. Alot better than what you see on the road now.

Bass boats I see around the great lakes are generally painted metal flaked and about as gaudy

Oh . The nearest bass is probably 1000K away from me on the bald ass prairie. An extravigant cabin cruiser out here is a 12 foot aluminum boat with a 10 horse Johnson and a cooler.

Wow, that takes me back to my youth. I used to be a vanner and attended the Van Nationals several times. I used to read all the van magazines and don't ever remember seeing that one. With a $96K build price you would think it would have been pretty famous then. Rarely did the vans cost more than $30,000 even for the more outlandish ones. A friend of mine in Peoria still has his 74 Dodge that built by the National Street Van Assoc.. It's build was documented in the magazinesat the time. He still shows it at van events. His was above the $30K price though.
